返回新鲜资讯Back to News

Amid the pressure of test preparation for the 23Fall application season, top universities are launching new schools or programs to attract talented students. For instance, Yale University established the Jackson School of Global Affairs with corresponding master's programs, and Columbia University added an MS in Environmental Health Data Science. These new programs spanning multiple fields provide an excellent opportunity for international students to secure admission to prestigious institutions. CheersYou(清柚教育) advises students and parents to closely monitor admissions updates and seize the window of relatively lower thresholds for new programs. It is recommended to plan test preparation wisely, accurately identify personal strengths, and adjust application strategies in time to calmly navigate the 23Fall cycle and successfully secure offers from dream schools.

The 23fall application season is already in full swing! Where are you in your graduate school preparation?

Stressed about language test scores?

Still struggling with the GRE/GMAT?

Racking your brains over personal statements?

Waiting in vain for recommendation letters from professors?

Or

……

Haven't started at all?

It seems that the application season has barely begun, yet many students are already deep in anxiety! However, quite a few students are saying that it's only September—spreading anxiety this early is too soon!

If we don't compete, the schools themselves will start worrying!

Indeed, compared to applicants, universities are pulling out all the stops to recruit. Schools are either launching new colleges, new programs, or are on the way to announcing new ones...

Yale Opens First New College in Nearly 50 Years

Not long ago, Yale announced a new school—Jackson School of Global Affairs—the first new professional school at Yale in nearly fifty years, opening this fall semester.

The school's predecessor, the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, was established back in 2009. Over the past decade, the institute has completed numerous academic and teaching projects in international affairs, earning a high reputation worldwide.

Compared to similar institutions, the Jackson School is smaller in scale and more focused.

According to Yale's website, the Jackson School will concentrate on international policy research and collaborate with other professional schools to create interdisciplinary advantages.

New Programs Offered

Currently, the Jackson School only offers two master's programs and one joint master's program:

  • Master in Public Policy in Global Affairs

  • Master of Advanced Study in Global Affairs

  • Dual degree: M.P.P. in Global Affairs from Jackson and the relevant degree from another field
