Just now, THE (Times Higher Education) released the 2023 World University Rankings by Subject.
Unlike the overall THE World University Rankings, the subject-specific rankings are more valuable for students who have a clearer idea of their future direction and major, as they can more precisely identify their dream schools.
These subject rankings use the same dataset and methodology as the THE World University Rankings, updating the latest performance of 10 subjects in 2023, including: Business & Economics, Education, Law, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Clinical & Health, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Psychology.

This year's evaluation indicators include:
- Teaching: the learning environment
- Research: volume, income and reputation
- Citations: research influence
- International outlook: staff, students and research
- Industry income: innovation
When evaluating different subjects, the weight of each indicator is adjusted to suit the development of the field and discipline.
We will provide a detailed analysis of the rankings for five popular study-abroad majors: Business & Economics, Education, Computer Science, Education, Engineering, and Social Sciences, and also include rankings for other subjects.
