Hong Kong's higher education circle just dropped a major announcement: Jack Ma has been appointed Honorary Professor at HKU Business School!

Returning to University, Back to His Roots
Ma has confirmed his appointment as an Honorary Professor in Management and Strategy at the HKU Business School for a three-year term ending in March 2026.
It is reported that Ma will focus on collaborating with HKU faculty on research in finance, agriculture, and corporate innovation, with no public lectures or speeches scheduled.
Before founding Alibaba, Ma worked as a university teacher for six years, and this return to academia is believed to be an important step in his post-retirement commitment to education.

He received an honorary Doctor of Social Sciences degree from The University of Hong Kong in 2018, and now he has finally become the veritable Professor Ma.

HKU Business School students, will you get a chance to see Professor Ma in action? 👀
