Since graduate schools in the U.S. vary by program and specific department regarding spring enrollment options, be sure to check the official university website or contact the department directly to confirm that your intended program offers spring admission.
Spring admission presents an opportunity for every student, but it’s not recommended to treat it as a “safety” option. There is always a trade-off: fewer applicants also means fewer choices for you.
If your fall applications didn’t go as hoped and your desired program offers a spring option, by all means, give it a try.
