I. Program Introduction
MOT is a tech-focused education program lasting one and a half years and is a STEM-designated program. It targets students who aspire to become future technology managers or leaders, offering not only rich theoretical knowledge but also access to cutting-edge hands-on experience. The MOT curriculum embodies the engineering school's academic ethos of invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship, making it an innovative program capable of generating significant economic and social impact.
Rather than grafting some technology management courses onto a traditional MBA, MOT provides innovative and integrated coursework focused on developing professionals whose careers center on building, managing, or leading technology-driven organizations.

II. Curriculum
The MOT curriculum combines technology and business management, allowing students to choose courses based on their own needs. It is suitable for engineering background students to learn business, as well as business background students to pick up tech skills. Popular elective areas include Data Analytics and Digital Strategies, along with a capstone project that helps students accumulate more hands-on experience.
Full-time students must complete 36 credits.

Core skill courses include Organizational Behavior, Economics and Strategy, Technical Financial Analysis, and Global Innovation. Through these courses, students learn to examine a company's internal operations and external competition to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

For Technology Management Tools, students need to choose three courses from the following list. They will learn key management skills and techniques that can most effectively support company objectives.

Additionally, there are 12 credits of elective courses that can be chosen based on personal interests and future career directions~

III. Career Prospects
NYU is located in New York, the business and tech hub of the United States. This prime location makes it easier for graduates to stay and work in the U.S. Furthermore, NYU's MOT program boasts strong industry connections and an alumni network, along with high brand recognition, contributing to excellent employment prospects.
MOT coursework covers various aspects of the tech field, including information technology, e-commerce, product design and manufacturing, etc. As a result, graduates typically find jobs in tech companies, financial institutions, consulting firms, and more, with career paths such as project management, product development, business development, and technology consulting.
IV. Admissions Requirements
The application requires a $90 fee, regular transcripts, and language test scores. However, GRE was not required for this program last year. See the images below for detailed requirements:
