Q: Can I use GMAT instead of GRE?
A: GMAT may not substitute for the GRE requirement.
Q: If my language test score is expired or the test date is after the application deadline, can I still submit it later?
A: Expired or unsubmitted language test scores will not be accepted after the deadline. Review begins when all materials are complete.
Q: Is there a specific GRE score requirement?
A: No minimum score is set. The average GRE quantitative percentile for recently admitted cohorts is around 91%. Therefore, it is recommended that your score in this section be comparable.
Q: If admitted, can I transfer to another program within SEAS?
A: No, you cannot transfer to another program before the first semester. You may enroll in the program you were admitted to and reapply for a new program in a subsequent semester by reactivating your application.
Q: Can I apply to the doctoral program without a Master's degree?
A: Yes, but if admitted, you must complete a Master's degree at Columbia before proceeding to the PhD. This is the MS-PhD Track plan.
Q: Can I apply to two SEAS programs simultaneously?
A: No. You may only apply to one program at a time. Do not apply to multiple SEAS programs in a given term, or your submissions may become invalid.
