In recent years, Northwestern University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) have joined forces to launch a highly anticipated interdisciplinary dual master's degree program—Dual Master’s Degree in Applied Economics (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) & Social and Economic Policy (Northwestern University). This unique program has attracted considerable attention from students, as both universities are world-class institutions. CUHK ranks 38th in the 2023 QS World University Rankings, with its Economics and Econometrics program consistently placed 8th in the QS Asia University Rankings by subject. Northwestern University ranks 10th in the 2023 U.S. News Best Colleges and 8th in Best Education Schools. Curriculum:

The 17-month program is structured as follows: students study at CUHK for 10 months (August to May of the following year) to earn a Master’s in Applied Economics, then at Northwestern University for 7 months (June to December) to earn a Master’s in Social and Economic Policy. During this period, students must complete 15 courses, including 9 required courses and 6 electives. If exceptional circumstances prevent a student from traveling to the U.S. in June, it is possible to complete all coursework in Hong Kong.

Admission Requirements:
