This year, Teachers College, Columbia University, has launched a new Master of Science in Data, Learning, and Society program (MS in Data, Learning, and Society).
The program covers courses in statistics, data science, etc., aiming to equip students with the skills, techniques, and perspectives to apply data in a socially responsible manner to understand and support learning in contemporary society.
Graduates will be able to work based on a solid foundation in modern data technologies, understand the unique aspects of empirical work in learning, and recognize the social and ethical issues brought about by the increasing amount of learner and learning data.
The new program is now accepting applications for Fall 2025, with the first round deadline on January 15, 2025.
