Cornell Tech will launch a new master's program in Fall 2025—the Master of Engineering in Data Science & Decision Analytics.

The new program at Cornell Tech aims to train students to solve complex business and technical problems through data-driven approaches. The program integrates theories and applications in data science, statistics, optimization, machine learning, and other fields, aiming to cultivate professionals with both technical and managerial skills.
The program features world-class faculty, and students will master skills in data analysis, building data transformation models, and more, while immersing themselves in New York City's tech startup community.
While taking technical courses, students will also complete Studio courses, tackling real business problems faced by tech companies and preparing to launch their own startups. During the Studio courses, DSDA students will form interdisciplinary teams with students from computer science, electrical engineering, business, and law programs to explore problems from all angles.
The DSDA master's program is a one-year program. Similar to IEOR courses, it also emphasizes entrepreneurship but leans more toward computing, helping students strengthen quantitative skills and delve into machine learning and probabilistic analysis.
