The MSc Finance with Data Science program lasts one year, divided into three terms. The curriculum covers core financial theories, financial market economics, corporate capital structure decisions, investments, and other key financial topics, while also teaching financial econometrics and data analysis skills using Python. Specific courses include required modules such as Financial Econometrics and Data, Corporate Finance and Financial Markets, Time Series Analysis and Forecasting, and Big Data Analytics, as well as elective modules like Options and Derivatives, Economics of Trading and Exchanges, and Advanced Corporate Finance. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with at least a UK 2:1 honours level, preferably in economics, finance, mathematics, econometrics, or statistics. Applicants from other related quantitative disciplines may also be considered.
The English language requirement is an IELTS overall score of 7.0 or above (with a minimum of 6.5 in each component) or a TOEFL overall score of 90 or above (with a minimum of 24 in reading and writing, and 22 in speaking and listening). Although GMAT/GRE is not mandatory, a strong GRE quantitative score (165 or above) will enhance the application.
