Admissions Data
1. HKU Business School
The HKU Business School is one of Asia's most influential business schools, dedicated to cultivating business leaders with a global perspective and local insights. Its programs cover accounting, finance, economics, business analytics, marketing, and management, and its full-time MBA has been ranked No. 1 in Asia for consecutive years.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
GRE scores are required for the MBA program. Scores must be valid within five years. The admissions committee only considers the highest score, so there is no need to worry excessively about retaking the test.

International MBA (IMBA)
Applicants to the HKU IMBA program must submit GRE scores. Both Verbal and Quant sections must be above 150, and the total score should be equivalent to a GMAT score of 580 or above, approximately GRE 305–310.

Master of Finance
The HKU MFin program does not require GRE scores, but strongly encourages applicants to submit an excellent GRE score to enhance their competitiveness.

2. Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science at HKU is one of the university's most academically robust and historically rich faculties. It covers mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, earth sciences, statistics & actuarial science, environmental science, and more.
MSc in Artificial Intelligence
This program has no explicit GRE requirement, but applicants should have backgrounds in linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, introductory statistics, and computer programming. Some applicants choose to submit GRE scores to strengthen their quantitative credentials.

3. Faculty of Law
The Faculty of Law at HKU is one of Asia's most prestigious law schools. It excels in common law, international law, human rights law, commercial and financial law, technology and law, and more. It offers LLB, JD, LLM, and other degrees.
Juris Doctor (JD)
This program encourages applicants to submit GRE scores, and an excellent score will be an important reference factor in admission, boosting overall competitiveness.

4. Faculty of Arts
The Faculty of Arts at HKU is dedicated to teaching and research in the humanities. It covers language and literature, history, philosophy, cultural studies, translation, art, media and communication, emphasizing interdisciplinary perspectives and critical thinking.
MA in AI, Ethics and Society
This program does not explicitly require GRE, but some students choose to submit an excellent GRE score when applying.

5. Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at HKU, under the Faculty of Social Sciences, has a strong academic tradition and research strength. Its research areas include clinical psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, cognitive neuroscience, educational and counseling psychology, etc.
MPhil/PhD
Applicants whose first degree is not in psychology must take the GRE Psychology Subject Test within five years and achieve a minimum score of 550.
