Program Introduction
The new dual master's degree jointly launched by the London School of Economics and Political Science and New York University emphasizes the critical roles of London and New York as leading global centers for media production, distribution, and consumption.
Students can live and study in two of the world's most interconnected metropolises, exploring their cross-border influence and connectivity.
Curriculum
The dual master's program spans two years. Students will spend the first year studying in the Department of Media and Communications at LSE, earning an MSc in Media and Communications;
and the second year at NYU's Steinhardt School, earning an MA in Media, Culture, and Communication.
Application Requirements
Applications for Fall 2026 will open in the fall, with further application requirements to be officially announced.
The first cohort will begin studies at LSE in the 2026/27 academic year and complete their program at NYU the following academic year.
Previously, the LSE Department of Media and Communications has established long-term partnerships with the University of Southern California, Fudan University, and the University of Cape Town.
