Recently, the term "homework slave" has blown up.

They are homework slaves, the ultimate simps for campus goddesses. They complete all assignments for the goddess, expecting nothing in return, and may even pay her.

Homework Slaves: The Ultimate Simps for Goddesses?
A God-Tier Academic Saint
You read that right: homework slaves are even more otherworldly than ATM slaves.
All they ask is the honor of doing the goddess’s homework. If the goddess is satisfied and wants to introduce her friends? No problem—bring on the assignments, they're grateful!

For every homework slave, there’s a Mean Girl.
The mean girls compare notes on how they order around their homework slaves:
"Girl, he did my homework for a whole week again!"
"OMG you're so bad, I'll assign him an algebra assignment then 😂"

A quick search on Instagram turns up thousands of posts under #homeworkslave.
Whether it's math, chemistry, sociology, or business, homework slaves can handle it all. And they welcome goddesses to bring along their sisters and even their whole family for homework help.

Twitter is even worse. On one side, goddesses are recruiting slaves to do their homework:
"Anyone want to do my bio homework? I'm off to enjoy life 👸." Accompanied by a flattering photo.
"Need a good boy to do my homework." With a 💋.

On the other side, homework slaves humbly offer their services:
"My queen, I'll do your homework."
"Young miss, your math homework is on me."

They ask for no money, no reward, not even a chance to get intimate. Just call them modern-day Lei Fengs (selfless helpers).
"Finishing the homework and seeing the goddess's approving smile makes my life worthwhile."

Ordinary mortals like us are baffled—is this the legendary academic saint come to life?
If You're Not a Straight-A Student, You Don't Deserve to Be a Simp
Typically, homework slaves are top students, strong in STEM subjects, but if you throw other subjects at them, they'll get it done too.
After all, they're straight-A students—what they don't know, they'll learn.
Take Daniel, a young man who says he can handle all assignments in one go, always puts the goddess's needs first, and is utterly loyal with guaranteed quality.
Most importantly, he expects nothing in return.

Although his major is electromagnetics, transforming from a physics nerd to a philosophy star student took him just two months.
After all, for the goddess, there's nothing he won't study—be it "Practical Theology" or "How to Win a Beauty Pageant: Race, Gender, Culture, and National Identity."
Daniel says he loves hanging out in Discord communities, where there are many girls in need of homework help.

Daniel isn't just a free homework writer—he also takes classes on behalf of others.
Lately, for example, he's been attending online classes for a goddess. Besides taking notes, he's completed nearly half a semester's worth of assignments. He says that while juggling his own studies, he's also learned a lot of new knowledge.
Like... all we can say is, typical straight-A student.

Some goddesses send him thirst traps and try to video chat as thanks. But he usually refuses.
"I just hacked into MIT's online course system. Compared to the goddess's hot pics, 'Mathematical Applications in Street Fighting' is way more interesting."

After reading that, we're speechless 🚬. It's hard to tell whether the homework slave's joy is in doing homework for the goddess or just doing more homework.
By ghostwriting, homework slaves plow through courses at various universities, essentially turning themselves into walking encyclopedias.
Spoiled Academic "Gold Diggers"
However, these goddesses and little princesses have developed quite the temper and appetite.
For instance, the recently exposed "North American female version of Zhai Tianlin" (a notorious Chinese academic fraud) allegedly got into a top-30 university through cheating, and all her OA (Online Assessment) tests for cross-major job hunting were completed by others.
If her simp misses a deadline and doesn't finish her OA on time, the princess immediately vents:

The princess never studies practice problems, never reads interview guides. She simply demands the simp write out the answers verbatim—after all, what evil thoughts could a princess possibly have?
Even a tech giant interviewer became her Nth simp, leaking all the question banks and interview questions to her. Yet despite having the exact questions, she still failed the interview.
Don't ask why; the answer is that this year's interviewers just suck.
Is the Endgame of Studying Abroad Just Ghostwriting?
A simp can't be on standby 24/7, but your ghostwriter can.
While watching a video, a ghostwriting ad pops up: "We'll do your homework; go chase poetry and distant lands."
Open WeChat, and in groups, ghostwriting ads wedge themselves in: "Babe, need someone to write your assignments or thesis?"

A quick Google search and ads from ghostwriting platforms flood in: "24/7 online," "revisions anytime," "100% on time," "guaranteed pass."

Even the most resilient deadline-chaser gets tempted after seeing enough ghostwriting ads. After all, who wants to pull all-nighters and lose their hair over DDLs?
Kenya's Ghostwriting Industry Chain
In recent years, open-pricing ghostwriting has become increasingly rampant, forming a thriving gray market industry chain.
According to a BBC report, many students from UK and US universities who look for ghostwriters online are likely outsourcing to Kenyans. These ghostwriters can earn thousands of dollars a month, a high-paying job there.

Kenya's ghostwriting industry is driven by profit.
Kennedy, 30, says ghostwriting can earn him $1,360 a month, far more than his old teaching job.
The writers he employs can produce about 200 papers a month and even take tests. Their services can enable someone to complete all their studies, get a diploma, and land a high-paying job.
When asked about academic ethics, he frankly says, "We all work for money. First you survive, then you consider ethics."
Ghostwriting Feels Good Until You Get Caught
Ghostwriters in Africa might not worry about academic ethics, but you should.
Whether ghostwriting or proxy test-taking, it's academic misconduct, and the consequences if discovered are severe.
The US, for instance, takes academic integrity very seriously. Ghostwriting, proxy tests, and class-taking are all forms of cheating, and penalties depend on severity—ranging from warnings and academic probation to investigations and hearings, leading to suspension or even expulsion.
Other countries/regions also impose harsh punishments for ghostwriting.
UK: Ghostwriting Made a Criminal Offense
Last October, the UK Department for Education announced that essay mills would be illegal: any entity providing educational services to students over 16 that offers, arranges, or advertises essay-writing services for profit will be criminalized.

Australia: Two Years' Imprisonment, $200,000 Fine, and Expulsion
As early as 2019, Australia's Department of Education proposed draft legislation: anyone providing academic fraud services faces two years' imprisonment or fines up to AU$210,000.

Additionally, many Australian universities have jointly stated that anyone found using ghostwriting will be expelled and have their student visa revoked. Students with such a cheating record will be unable to apply to any other Australian institution in the future!
China: Revocation of Degrees and Record of Fraudulent Behavior
China's Ministry of Education's "Measures for Handling Fraud in Degree Theses" clearly stipulates that having someone else write or writing a degree thesis for others is considered fraud. Both the degree applicant and the ghostwriter face penalties if discovered.

Students involved in buying, selling, or writing degree theses will be expelled. Degree and diploma certificates already obtained will be revoked by law. If such revoked certificates are already registered, they will be canceled and declared invalid by education authorities.
Revocation of degrees and a record of fraudulent behavior in China will also severely impact a student's future study abroad applications.
Never Cross the Academic Line: It Hurts You More Than Others
For both international and domestic students, academic integrity is the bottom line. Ghostwriting, plagiarism, or exam cheating are all very serious matters.
We all know the rules, but with temptations from socializing, gaming, parties, and dating, and with finals or graduation approaching, those who can't write a single word might first think of ghostwriting.
Some out of laziness, some for a perfect GPA, take the risk of expulsion or deportation by walking the "shortcut."
But every gift of fate comes with a hidden price tag.
Ghostwriting is also rife with scams.
A Chinese student in California, for example, used a ghostwriter and received an anonymous email demanding a $5,000 blackmail fee, threatening to report him for academic fraud. Fearing expulsion, he painfully paid up. But he still lives in fear of being exposed.

Back to our original topic, both academic gold diggers and homework slaves are, in reality, a pathological phenomenon.
Goddesses strike poses to attract suckers, viewing unearned rewards as fate's gifts, ending up as nothing more than pretty vacuums.

Homework slaves take on jobs left and right, only to mess up their own studies—the epitome of putting the cart before the horse.

Since you've come abroad to study, the most important thing is still learning. Never ruin your bright future for momentary convenience or a false sense of luck.
