Program Introduction:
Cornell's Systems Engineering program is offered within the College of Engineering, drawing on faculty and research resources from Operations Research and Information Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Although Cornell is in New York State, it is relatively remote, located in Ithaca, Tompkins County, in upstate New York. It’s about a four-and-a-half-hour drive from New York City, and buses typically take four to six hours.
Campus Architecture:
Uris Library is the oldest library on campus, built in 1891, with over a century of history. There is also a dedicated engineering library, Carpenter Hall, which is open 24 hours and provides an excellent study atmosphere. It’s conveniently close to off-campus dining.
