Program Overview:

The MSM program at CMU is designed to help students succeed in today's complex business environment by focusing on the teaching of fundamental business knowledge, analysis, and skills. Students can also flexibly tailor the curriculum to specific areas of interest.

The program is open to high-potential individuals with various undergraduate degrees, quantitative skills, and work experience.

Furthermore, after completing the MSM program and gaining at least 2 years of professional work experience, students will be eligible to apply for the Accelarate MBA program at the Tepper School.

Program Duration:

Students generally can complete the program in ten months.

Curriculum:

Before the start of the semester, there is a 3-credit, four-week orientation that focuses on introducing business context, career readiness, and math-related preparation.

The subsequent program is divided into four semesters, with courses revolving around topics such as finance; accounting; economics; operations management; statistics; marketing, and students can choose corresponding electives based on their interests.

Students can also choose a specialization in finance, marketing, or operations, and then select relevant elective courses later to explore their chosen area in depth.
