1. Program Overview
NUS's MA Theatre and Performance Studies program aims to apply digital tools across various industry contexts for professional activities such as archive development, interaction design, and multimedia interfaces. Courses are taught by globally renowned leaders in fields such as theatre analysis, Asian performance, digital humanities, and interdisciplinary studies of literature, film, and performance. It emphasizes developing students' critical and historical analysis skills, making it suitable for those seeking careers in arts practice. This is a one-year full-time program with a tuition fee of S$39,000.

2. Curriculum
The program requires completing at least 40 credits, or ten courses (each course is worth 4 credits). These ten courses include one core course (Text and Performance) and nine electives. Students must choose one of the following three focus areas: Theatre, Film and Literature; Creative Practice in Performance; and Digital Skills in the Arts and Humanities. A minimum GPA of 3.0 across all graded courses is required to successfully earn the degree.
3. Application Requirements
- A National University of Singapore Honours degree (Second Class and above) or equivalent (e.g., a 4-year bachelor's degree);
- Language: TOEFL 85+ or IELTS 6.0+;
- A background in the discipline or a related field, with an average grade of B or equivalent;
- Or a bachelor's degree in the discipline or a related field (with an average grade of B or equivalent) and successful completion of a placement test;
- Or, in exceptional cases, other qualifications and experience may be accepted with the approval of the university;
