返回新鲜资讯Back to News

Yale School of Management will launch a new Technology Management master's program in fall 2024, aiming to cultivate future leaders at the intersection of technology and business. The program emphasizes practical and interdisciplinary learning, featuring a required internship, core business courses covering innovation, finance, etc., and a wide range of elective courses across different schools, helping students deepen technical expertise while building solid business and leadership skills. It is important to note that the program currently has strict application restrictions: it is only open to Yale College undergraduates in engineering-related majors or those with sufficient prerequisite engineering coursework, and applicants must be graduating in 2024 or have graduated within the past three years. Non-Yale students cannot apply at this time. CheersYou(清柚教育) will continue to closely monitor future changes to the program's admission policies, providing students and parents with the latest and most accurate study abroad information.

Starting in fall 2024, Yale School of Management (SOM) will offer a new Technology Management master's degree, designed specifically for Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science (SEAS) graduates and Yale graduates from other technical programs, providing a solid foundation in business and leadership skills while deepening their technical expertise.

The Technology Management master's will further extend the school's mission of developing leaders for business and society by preparing students to become leaders in the rapidly changing and broadly impactful intersection of technology and business.

The core components of the Technology Management master's curriculum include four aspects:

First, before the official start of classes, students must complete a required internship to gain practical work experience.

Next, they will study a series of core courses covering innovation, accounting and finance, marketing, and design.

The final two components will be elective courses from both SOM and SEAS, to deepen their expertise in selected areas including entrepreneurship, leadership, big data and AI, mechanical engineering, and computer science.

Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded a Master of Management degree.

Note:

The Technology Management master's program is currently only open to Yale College engineering students and other Yale College students with sufficient prerequisite engineering coursework. Applicants may be Yale University graduates from the class of 2024 or those who graduated within the past three years.

Therefore, undergraduates not from Yale College cannot currently apply to the Technology Management program. As for how the program's admissions will evolve in the future, we will wait and see.
