1. Program Overview
Yale’s Dual Master’s in Management, the Master of Management Studies in Global Business and Society (M2M), is a program jointly offered by Yale School of Management and FGV-EAESP (São Paulo School of Business Administration), HKUST (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School), HEC Paris, and UBC Sauder (Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia).
The program lasts two years, leveraging global resources to provide in-depth study of business courses.
In the first year, students complete management or related studies at one of the partner institutions—FGV-EAESP, HKUST, HEC, or UBC Sauder. In the second year, they proceed to Yale School of Management (SOM) to complete the Global
Business and Society Program.
Upon completing the two-year program, students will receive two master’s degrees, each conferred by one of the two schools, and gain access to the alumni networks and career resources of both institutions.
2. Program Advantages
Typically, U.S. business schools only admit MBA candidates with several years of work experience. The advantage of M2M is that it primarily targets recent graduates—those who have just left university or have less than three years of work experience.
Through the two-year program, you earn master’s degrees from two top business schools. Moreover, through Yale’s alumni network, you can connect with over 6,000 graduates who are leaders in various fields and industries. Yale also organizes Global Network events each semester to help students build connections.
Yale School of Management’s Career Development Office (CDO) provides excellent career services and guidance to help students secure full-time employment after graduation. The CDO’s resources and close relationships with global employers complement the career resources from the first-year master’s program, crafting a personalized strategy for each student’s global job search.
3. Target Audience
M2M is designed for students with early career planning (less than 3 years of full-time work experience), attracting globally minded and innovative future leaders eager to launch their careers.
4. Career Paths
Graduates of this program mostly work in sectors such as technology, investment management, real estate, consulting, design and innovation, and sustainability.
The knowledge acquired is also widely applied in organizations involved in entrepreneurship, education, marketing, impact investing, fast-moving consumer goods, social impact, corporate strategy, fintech, healthcare, private equity, venture capital, and government.
During their time at Yale, students can shape their careers and find a path aligned with their interests and goals. The Career Development Office (CDO) provides resources specifically for early-career students to help them secure full-time employment after graduation.
5. Application Information
Participants in the M2M program can apply to both their first-year and second-year schools simultaneously. If you are already a student or alumnus of the first-year programs at FGV EAESP, HEC, HKUST, or UBC Sauder, you can apply directly to Yale’s GBS program.
