The University of Chicago Booth School of Business has established a new Master in Finance (MS in Finance).

It will welcome its first cohort of students in fall 2024, and the first round of applications will close on January 25.

Program Introduction
This program combines students' quantitative backgrounds with business fundamentals, preparing them for careers in the financial industry. It is a quantitatively focused program built on a foundation of analytical skills.
For students seeking opportunities in asset management, investment banking, fintech, research, or other finance-related fields, this master's program offers comprehensive learning.
Program Duration
Choose between the 15-month standard track or the 10-month accelerated track, with a total of 13 courses.
Curriculum

Core courses: 4 courses

Electives: 9 courses (5 finance electives, 4 from the MBA program at Booth)

Students choose one of four specializations: Asset Management, Investment Banking, Fintech, or Financial Research

A two-week Boothcamp starting in mid-August, before the official start of the master's program

A 10-week "Succeeding in the Workplace" course, starting during Boothcamp and continuing through the fall quarter
