The Master in Family Wealth Management program is offered by the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (IHSS), an independent research institute of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) with a long history of research and teaching in the humanities and social sciences. Program Introduction:
As the global wealth management industry evolves, there is a growing demand for professionals who can effectively manage the complex and diverse needs of family offices for high-net-worth families. Beyond finance and wealth management, professionals need comprehensive knowledge encompassing history, ethics, cultural competence, and social responsibility to evaluate and provide advice on complex family wealth management issues. This master’s program emphasizes the intersection of historical roots and cultural dimensions of families, family businesses, and investment markets. The interdisciplinary approach enables students to understand the multifaceted nature of the family office and wealth management field.
Program Duration:
One year, 66 credits across ten courses.
Curriculum:

Ten courses, including six core courses, three elective courses, and one capstone project course.

With the consent of the Programme Directors of both programmes, students can choose one 6-credit elective course from the Master of Nonprofit Management in the social sciences field.
