Formerly Information Systems
has been renamed to:
Information Systems and Artificial Intelligence for Business
Late last year, President Biden issued an executive order recognizing the vital role of immigrants, international students, and high-skilled temporary visa holders in the AI field, aiming to attract more AI talent to study and work in the U.S.
JHU's move responds to the government's call and fully appreciates AI's critical role in modern business, staying at the cutting edge and leading emerging education trends.
With these name changes, the Carey School's two programs will focus more deeply on the integration of AI and business applications. Students interested in AI/business should not miss out on this year's application!

Luxurious New DC Campus, Neighbors with the President
The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School has long been known for its "lavishness." Not only does it offer generous scholarships, but its educational resources are also top-notch.
Take the teaching building, for example. The building was originally a world-class academic museum of about 420,000 square feet. After nearly three years and an investment of approximately $370 million for redesign and renovation, it now operates as JHU's new campus.
The new campus opened in September 2023, housing the Carey Business School, the School of Advanced International Studies, and the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.
The new JHU building features high-tech classrooms, a lounge-style library, multimedia rooms, enclosed study spaces, and other student facilities. It also boasts a top-tier 375-seat theater with a pre-function banquet hall.
Additionally, the new campus provides several rooftop terraces offering views of Pennsylvania Avenue, the White House, and the Capitol. It includes restaurants, cafés, an art gallery, a fitness center, and more—everything you can imagine.
The JHU new campus is also close to many world-renowned landmarks, such as the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, the White House, and the Capitol.
Attending school next door to the president and rubbing shoulders with political and business elites every day—JHU's new students are truly lucky!
Deadlines Moved Up—Mind the Dates
For the Fall 2025 application cycle, the Carey Business School deadlines have once again been moved up overall.
Round 1 applications will close on October 9, 2024.
This is 9 days earlier than Fall 2024 and 17 days earlier than Fall 2023!
Applications to Carey have always been highly competitive, to the point where the school has moved deadlines forward to allow more time for reviewing materials.
Not only are the deadlines earlier, but admission requirements have also been rising. For example, the average GRE score for the Marketing program has reached an astounding 336.
The new application season has begun. Those aiming for a spot at the Carey Business School need to start preparing now!
