The Master in Finance program newly launched last year by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business received a $60 million donation from alumni on October 1, 2024.

In recognition of the contributions of alumnus Clifford Asness (MBA’91, PhD’94) and Trustee John Liew (AB’89, MBA’94, PhD’95), the program will be renamed the Asness and Liew Master in Finance.

The University of Chicago's Master in Finance welcomed its first cohort of students in Fall 2024, and the Fall 2025 application deadline is January 9, 2025.

The Chicago MiF is a 15-month program that combines students' quantitative backgrounds with business fundamentals, preparing them for careers in the finance industry.
The program is also focused on quantitative research and is built for those with strong analytical skills. The curriculum is rigorous, and applicants are advised to have a quantitative background and submit GRE or GMAT scores.

It is expected that the University of Chicago's Master in Finance will see significant upgrades in curriculum, career services, and more, with its value continually rising, and applicant interest will only increase!
