Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy is launching a new Master's in Technology, People, and Policy (MTePP) for Fall 2025. The STEM-designated program is one year long with a tuition of $60,000. It offers interdisciplinary exploration of emerging tech regulation, ethics, and policy, preparing students for careers in technology policy analysis and AI ethics through hands-on projects. Applicants need a minimum 3.0 GPA, two recommendation letters, a statement of purpose, additional essays, and language test scores. Northwestern University (NWU) School of Education and Social Policy recently received a $1 million donation and immediately launched the new MTePP Master's in Technology, People, and Policy for Fall 2025. The program aims to explore the largely unregulated growth of emerging technologies, focusing on ethics, environmental impact, human development, and policy.

This program is interdisciplinary, allowing students to examine issues from multiple perspectives including technology knowledge, human development, social policy, and ethics. Students will also participate in real-world course projects, gaining practical experience and preparing for careers such as technology policy analysis, AI ethics research, and human-computer interaction.

Northwestern's MTePP is STEM-designated and can be completed in one year of full-time study, including six required courses, three electives, and a capstone. Tuition is $60,000.
