On July 1, CheersYou invited parents and students to attend an offline salon themed "The Unspoken Secrets of Applying to Top Universities."
The event provided a platform for parents and students with study abroad intentions to exchange ideas, while sharing extensive insights on study abroad applications, academic majors, and future career prospects.
To begin, Eric, a mentor at CheersYou, drew upon his own study abroad background and experience as an admissions officer assistant to share valuable advice on the application process.
The guest speakers also analyzed current U.S. policies and shared employment trends across various fields in the United States,
such as high-paying popular majors and career directions, offering helpful references for parents and students when choosing their academic paths.
While students can easily find peers through various social media platforms and forums, parents have relatively fewer channels to connect with others.
This salon provided parents with an opportunity to interact, share application progress, and exchange experiences. During the event, foreign mentors engaged with the attending students in English and conducted on-site oral proficiency assessments.
