The outbreak of pneumonia at the start of 2020 has caused worry and concern for countless students and parents studying abroad.

Canada
Currently, Canada has not imposed entry restrictions. The Canadian Minister of Health stated that Canada will not declare a national emergency due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
For example, the University of British Columbia (UBC) has posted relevant notices on its official website, stating that no infections have been found among its students and staff. All staff and students arriving from potentially affected areas will be screened upon entry, and those permitted entry will not be subject to mandatory quarantine measures by the university.
Will the pandemic affect admissions to Canadian institutions?
UBC, one of Canada's T3 universities, was among the first to indicate that if applicants from China have had their February exams canceled due to the pandemic, the undergraduate application deadline at UBC will be extended to March 31 for Chinese applicants.
Canadian institutions will not currently affect Chinese student admissions due to the pandemic, and applicants are encouraged to proactively contact schools to explain their situation and gain time and opportunities.

University of Toronto
Students unable to return to campus due to travel restrictions should contact their registrar (undergraduate) or graduate program (graduate) to arrange accommodation.
Western University
One student at the university was diagnosed with pneumonia but did not enter the campus. The university urges students to support and care for each other and not let racial discrimination rear its head.
